Schulman Study Group Academic Scholarship Award
The Schulman Group Scholarship Fund was established by a group of elite orthodontists practicing in the United States and Canada, who belong to a professional study group of which Anthony's father, Rob, is a member. Established in Anthony's honor, this biennial scholarship fund will ensure that a financially deserving young man from Saint Edmond’s Academy, with a like profile to Anthony’s (i.e., involved in community, sports, arts and strong relationship/leadership skills and passion for science and math), has the opportunity to attend Archmere Academy in pursuit of his own legacy.
2020 Recipients
Benjamin Michael Cole
Drew Duncan
We are happy to announce Benjamin Michael Cole and Drew Duncan as the 2020 recipients of the Schulman Group Academic Scholarship. Both young men are well deserving of this recognition and award, each solid contributors to the camaraderie and community of Saint Edmond’s Academy during their time there.
Much like Anthony, Ben participated in soccer, lacrosse and basketball, along with the musicals, Men's Ensemble and Chorus during his time at Saint Edmond's. Ben said, "Anthony had a great impact on the Saint Edmond's and Archmere communities. I was fortunate to have first met Anthony when I was about 3 years old, and I am proud to say I followed in Anthony's footsteps graduating from SEA and continuing to Archmere. I hope to spend my next 4 years at Archmere honoring Anthony's memory."
During his time at Saint Edmond’s, Drew was involved in Men’s Ensemble, cross country, basketball and lacrosse. Of receiving the award, Drew said, “I am very thankful for the opportunity to receive a Schulman Scholarship to attend Archmere. I have had a great experience in my 7 years at Saint Edmond’s and can’t wait to start my time at Archmere this fall. This is a very special honor and I will do my best to uphold Anthony’s name in a way in which he would be proud.”
Congratulations, Ben and Drew, on receipt of this scholarship award. We pray that it is a springboard to future success at Archmere and beyond!
